Zim is an Irken that has come to Earth as a cruel joke by the tallest. They were determined to keep Zim AWAY from Irk. Zim does not know of the joke and actually tries to conquer Earth. His missions are spoiled by his arch-nemisis, Dib, and his dimwitted SIR, Gir. Zim is a little green guy, who is looked down upon, (no pun intended) because he is short.
